Banyuwangi \u2013 Selendangsutra.id_ Ratusan umat Hindu dari Kecamatan Muncar, Srono, dan Blimbingsari berkumpul di Pantai Wisata Gumuk Kantong, Dusun Palurejo, Desa Sumbersewu, Kecamatan Muncar, Kabupaten Banyuwangi untuk melaksanakan Upacara Melasti. Kegiatan keagamaan ini merupakan bagian dari rangkaian perayaan Hari Raya Nyepi Tahun Baru Saka 1947. Upacara sakral ini dipimpin oleh Ida Bopo Pandito Giri Dharma Arsa dari Griya Purwosanti, Purwoharjo.
Jalannya Upacara Melasti
Rangkaian acara dimulai pukul 07.00 WIB dengan persiapan upacara dan pengambilan tirta suci yang dipimpin oleh seluruh Romo Mangku Pura se-Kecamatan Muncar. Upacara dilanjutkan dengan prosesi muput karya yang dipimpin oleh Ida Bopo Pandito Giri Dharma Arsa.
Selanjutnya, acara dibuka secara resmi pada pukul 10.30 WIB, diikuti dengan pembacaan Sloka Weda serta sambutan dari beberapa tokoh, di antaranya Ketua Panitia Nyepi, Kepala Desa Sumbersewu, dan Sekcam Muncar. Dalam sambutannya, mereka menekankan pentingnya menjaga toleransi antarumat beragama dan kelestarian lingkungan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPemerintah Desa Sumbersewu akan selalu mendukung dan mengawal setiap kegiatan keagamaan agar berjalan dengan khidmat dan aman,\u201d ujar Wastono, Kepala Desa Sumbersewu.
Acara berlanjut dengan Dharma Wacana yang disampaikan oleh narasumber Ganis dengan tema \u201cManavaseva, Madhavaseva Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045\u201d. Rangkaian prosesi ditutup dengan persembahyangan bersama yang berlangsung khidmat hingga pukul 12.00 WIB.
Makna Upacara Melasti
Upacara Melasti merupakan tradisi penyucian diri bagi umat Hindu dengan tujuan membuang segala hal negatif dan menyambut Tahun Baru Saka dengan hati yang bersih. Pelaksanaan Melasti di Pantai Wisata Gumuk Kantong ini tidak hanya menjadi simbol pembersihan spiritual, tetapi juga memperkuat semangat kebersamaan serta menjaga kerukunan antarumat beragama di Banyuwangi.
Dengan berakhirnya prosesi Melasti, umat Hindu kini bersiap menyambut Hari Raya Nyepi, sebuah momentum perenungan diri dalam suasana hening demi mencapai kehidupan yang lebih harmonis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
